Lego Star Wars is about ten times better because the plastic quality, as well as more diverse pieces. Also, the Lego brand is far older and more trusted for their experience and quality.

Lego star wars is much more secure when building looks more cute than serious and is easier to use.
Mega Blocks Halo is very detailed and move in more angles but is difficult to pose and repair but can be replaced cheaply.
Personally I'd go for the Lego star wars as it is made of a better but more expensive quality.
