Which sold more for xbox 360, Call of Duty 4 or Halo 3?

I'd like you to list how many they've each sold if you know.
Cause my friend is saying Call of Duty 4 sold more than Halo 3 and more people play Call of Duty 4.

Do you have any idea?

Ok, so I have just read on a site saying that Halo 3 has sold 8.1 million, and Call of Duty sold 5 million.

But I heard more people are on Call of Duty everyday but whenever I play COD, theres usually like 150-200k and Halo 3 always has atleast 300,000.

I'm pretty sure it is Halo 3 Xbox 360-wise, but overall it would be Call of Duty 4. You can't really compare them in total sales since Call of Duty was released for the PS3 and PC as well.

I tried to find the numbers online, but i couldn't. I would guess Halo3 has sold more on the 360, but the number would be close. When i was searching online i found an article that said CoD4 on 360 averages 1.3million players a day. I think the Halo3 numbers are a little off player wise. Most of the day Bungie says there are 150k-350k users playing Halo and CoD has 50k-200k users playing. Yet, CoD4 has been the most played 360 game for the past 5-7 weeks straight.
