Why am I not gaining EXP in Halo 3 on Live?

I have won at least 8 ranked matches and 4 social matches. I also have not quit any games, and since I started this morning my EXP has not changed. I have not had a problem with this before, maybe it is because of the update from yesterday? anyone else getting this problem?
