Why does it take 10 seconds to respawn in halo 3, instead of 6 seconds?

What does this happen? Is it because of my rank, which is Gunnery Sergeant?
I rarely betray any people in halo 3. I died and it took 10 seconds, but when my friend died next to me he took only 6 seconds?

It should only take 6 seconds for regular "deaths". Only suicides and betrayals have a 10 seconds to respawn time. Your rank has nothing to do with how quickly you respawn.

its probably lag because it should not take that long to respawn unless it was a betrayal or suicide, check your connection if it is not lag then you have a glitch
