hey!! well i have an xbox 360 and halo 3 but i need help gettin xbox live. i have a month free and the 3 days free. and i just want to try these out tosee how it really is. well i plug the internet cord into the back of the xbox, but when i go to plug it into the wall, the cord end is much bigger than the hole i need to get it into to get internet connection. and i asked my parents and i have NO bigger internet holes than that. so im not sure what to do. is there anyway i can do anything?

dude you need a modem or adapter wireless so then you get a internet connection what you gots ta do is plug it into the the back of the thing you use for you pc internet connectio nunless you dont have that either then sorry bro but you need a friends kindness to use his internet connection

and to answer your question, maybe your using a different tyupe of cable. what you need is a modem, and an ethernet cable. the modem hooks up with your phone jack, and the ehternet cable hooks your xbox to your modem.

you are trying to put the ethernet cord from the xbox into a phone line you either need an internet router or a networking hub to work as an adapter you cannot put an ethernet cableinto a phone line. if you are running off dial up you cannot use xbox live unless you have broadband or cable internet YOU MUST HAVE BROADBAND,CABLE, OR DSL INTERNET TO USE XBOX LIVE!!!!!

ok first, you are using the internet correct? So one of the internet cords that is connected to your pc is from a wall or dsl or whatever. Now, the only way to do this is to take out the internet cable out of your pc and connect it to your xbox 360.
