xbox 360 halo 3?

i just rented halo 3 and i tryed to get on live on it but every time i log in it says unreadable disc or it will say play this disc in an xbox 360 console any help plzzzzzzzz.........i really wanna play

it means that the disc has been damaged or that you laser in the xbox is broken or damaged

do you have xbox live maybe the disk is broken go back to the store and tell them.
