Xbox 360 troubles?

-Could someone tell me why my headset wont work, its not muted and plugged into my wireless controller and sound is all the way up-Also, I cant seem to get Halo 2(live) to work. When i go to start it up and select everything and put in pass code it says you have an important message, and it asks me if i want to go to Xbox Dashboard. i cant find the message even on Xbox homepage there is no message!PLEASE HELP

I'm not sure what could be the problem with your headset not working but have you tried shutting down everything including the headset and on it again? It usually fixes 90% of such glitches.
