Xbox live Halo 3 voice communication help!?

I want to be able to hear others speak when I play.
I am able to talk, and I know that they have their mics on.
But, I can't hear anything they're saying.

I've tried Settings > Voice Communication and changing it so that it says "no mute" or w/e. Didn't work.
I've also tried going to my gamercard and going to Voice to change those settings. Didn't work.

It's driving me mad! What am I supposed to do to hear the other players???

Make sure it's plugged in all the way, and then call Customer Service, and if that doesn't work. Your mic is broken.

I would try calling up Microsoft's technical support center (1-800-4MY-XBOX) or if they can't fix it your mic may be broken.
