xbox live question/ halo 3?

i bought halo 3 today and a 1 month live gold card and i redeemed the code but when i go on halo to play it says that my profile isnt alowwed to play online but i have a 1 month gold membership help

did you sign out and sign back in to your gamertag?
if not do that.

or check your parental settings.

are you a chick that plays halo 3? anyways maybe the parental control is set up to not allow you play online with m rated games or something cause i remember when i first got mine parental control blocked peoples microphones in every game
